Kwan Um School of Zen

The Kwan Um School of Zen is an international organization of more than a hundred centers and groups founded by Zen Master Seung Sahn, the first Korean Zen Master to live and teach in the West. The School's purpose is to make this practice of Zen Buddhism available to an ever-growing number of students throughout the world.

The Kwan Um School of Zen Austria was created 1994 and offers - apart from the regular Zen practice - also intensive retreats and Dharma talks. For beginners there is an introduction to our practice form briefly before beginning. Everybody is cordially invited. The Kwan Um School of Zen Austria is a non-profit organisation (Koreanische Zen Gemeinschaft) and as such financed by donations and contributions of its members. Membership entitles one to reduced rates for retreats and other Zen Center events for the Kwan Um School of Zen world-wide.
