DESCRIPTION:WINTER RETREAT \nKyol Che \nJanuary 5 to April 5\, arrival January 4 in the evening (13 weeks\, minimum participation 1 week. Entry and exit every Saturday afternoon). \nDeep in the mountains\, the great bell is struck.\n(Zen Master Seung Sahn) \nMeditation is like a wind that blows all clouds of thinking away and mind becomes clear. Clear mind is our original mind. \nJoin us for a 2 weeks meditation retreat in the mountains. Bori Sa is located amidst the magnificent scenery of Alta Garrotxa Natural Park. We’ll practice sitting\, bowing\, chanting\, working and eating together in complete silence. \nThere will be Dharma talks and kong-an interviews with the teachers. \nIf you are a School member with financial difficulties or long term Sangha volunteer\, a scholarship may be available for you to attend. Please visit our Scholarship page for more information. \n  \nIN-PERSON \nKyol Che (“coming together”) is a longer\, intensive meditation retreat held in the winter and summer at Borisa. Is modeled after the traditional winter and summer retreats in the mountain Zen temples in Korea. Kyol Che is a time to investigate your life closely. From this experience can arise a clearer\, more compassionate direction\, and more harmonious relationships with all aspect of life. \nConducted in silence\, the daily schedule includes sitting\, chanting\, walking\, and bowing meditations\, as well as work practice. Meals are eaten in silence in traditional temple style.
