Zen Cuisine Workshop with Chef Avital Sebagg
June 21 to 24 (arrival friday June 20)
Avital Sebbag, a vegan chef and certified practitioner of Chinese Medicine, will inspire us to cook a stunning variety of nutritious and delicious vegan recipes inspired by Zen and ancient principles of nutrition.
In this 3-part workshop we will prepare summer season vegan recipes and will learn how to master the art of retreat cooking. This workshop is open to anyone that wants to learn more about vegan cuisine, as well as kitchen masters currently helping on retreats or Zen Center’s kitchens, to learn the skills required to organize a kitchen, create menus, develop tasty, healthy vegan recipes to nourish and support people on their practice and run a kitchen within a retreat setting.
The workshop will take place in our mountain Zen Center, located in the middle of the pristine wilderness of the Alta Garrotxa Natural Park. Participants will also experience the ancient practice of korean zen of the Kwan Um School of Zen.
