Hyon Mun Sunim was born in Krakow 1954 and met Zen Master Seung Sahn in Poland 1985. He has participated in many 3-month-retreats (kyolche) in Korea and America. Hyon Mun Sunim has been a monk for 23 years. Currently he practices in our international temple Musang Sa in Korea.
Kido means “path of energy” and is an intensive kind of meditation that allows being one with the world through the medium of sound. We recite the name of the bodhisattva of great love and compassion, Kwanseum Bosal. The singing meditation is accompanied by percussion instruments and alternates with times of quiet sitting meditation.
